Needed new tires for a 2001 Toyota Tacoma
Went on facebook marketplace and found
New 2025 black aluminum alloy wheels with new Yokohama geo Lander tires.
Unbeknownst to me Toyota decided to change the size of their wheel hub from 106mm to 95.1mm.
Solution: Wheel Adapters USA!
Purchased the appropriate adapter only to discover the front studs are 1/4 inch short!
Solution: purchase new longer wheel studs!
While changing the studs requires removing the brake caliper and rotor, why not do a big brake upgrade.
So my good deal from Facebook marketplace
of $450, plus the wheel adapters $367.49
Longer studs $25, big brake kit $804.
Total $1647.49.
So much for a good deal.
